Computer
plays a pivotal role in everybody's life due to advancements in technology. Nowadays, most people are using
computers
as their main source to spend their spare time mainly
children
are spending more time on these electronic devices. In
this
essay, I will discuss both advantages and the disadvantages of using
computer
devices from an earlier age and
then
I will give some reasons along with some relevant examples on
this
matter. On the one side, In
this
modern and developed era, it is important to have
knowledge
of
computers
to improve practical skills. There are manifold reasons to use
computers
, most offspring improve their empirical
knowledge
by doing physical work related to their subjects.
For instance
, Nowadays, parents are buying a
computer
for their offspring to learn techniques like coding, etc. By using
computers
from earlier age
children
can improve their
knowledge
in academics.
For instance
, In India, In 2018, the EAMCET exam is conducted in a
computer
-based pattern where 70 per cent of offspring scored high marks who have
computer
skills while only 30 per cent of students scored high marks without
computer
knowledge
. And
also
by playing games
children
can improve their art skills like problem-solving, etc.
For example
, most
children
in India play Candy crush games which have multiple levels to reach high scores. On the other side, there are some cons to using
computers
for long
hours
. Nowadays, offspring are spending most of their time in front of the
computer
which affects their eyes and leads to vision problems.
For instance
, During Covid-19, the Education system decided to teach their
children
online mode so, the
children
should spend almost 8
hours
in front of the
computer
which leads to vision problems. Without being accompanied by their parents, it is a risk for
children
to stay in front of the
computer
for longer
hours
because it is mandatory to be on
children
-mode while watching videos on their
computer
. To sum up, there are balanced pros and cons of using the
computer
from an earlier age and using it for longer
hours
.
