Dear Sam, I'm thrilled to hear from you. I let some steam off when you send me your that you'll have some spare time
next
week, to come over and check up on my apartment and my pet cat-LuLu. Do you remember the conference I told you about in my
last
letter? Well, my manager told me two days before that my name was on the shortlist to choose from and yesterday night I received an invitation mail to join our company team to go to London to attend the International Conference, TGA. According to the schedule, the seminars will be held on the dates between the 12th and the 17th of September, so we will head to London one day before the mentioned date and come back on the 20th. It will be a great chance for me to explore
such
an amazing place, as I've never been there before. Probably, to look after my apartment would be fairly easy as you need to water the plants in the back yard once a day at night, and regarding LuLu, I already got an automatic food and water dispenser.
Therefore
, if you strock her back for five minutes a day, she'll be extremely happy. To let you know, I will leave the key under the door mat , so you can find it when coming around after your work.Again, I can't tell you how much appreciate your help and please let me know if I can do something for you to compensate. see you soon, regards, Noura

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
