Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required. Discuss both views and give your own opinion

It is widely considered that to make a healthy nation it is obligatoryobligitory to build sports clubs and set up gyms everywhere. Fortunately, there are a lot of
people
who have an opposite point of view, that there is no need forin a big
amount
of sports
facilities
at all, and that
amount
of these sportssport grounds and centers is must not be used as a measure of public
health
.
First
of all, we should decide what to call “the public
health
”. I assume that there is some measure
that is
called the same and nowadays is used as an indicator of how the average inhabitant feels. Thinking about
this
definition, I have made a mental experimentexperement: as an average citizen of my country, I just asked myself about what I do every day and how it impacts on my
health
. So, I wake up early every morning, do my workout, eat my breakfast, commute to my job, do my work (I trulytruely believe that I do it well), have lunch, do the rest of my work (sometimes overworking, but my boss says me it is not bad), commute home, doing some chores, have dinner and go to bed. At the end of the day, I feel healthy if nothing hurts and I am full of energy. Everything
that is
related to feeling me with energy in my densce schedule is a morning workout and taking meals. If there are more sportssport
facilities
outside I will not be either fit or healthy. I will remain intoin the same state as I already am. Some
people
would say: “Hey, authorities placed horizontal bars on your yard, make you healthier, just do it“. My answer is “no”. Doing sports every day,
first
of all, does not make you healthier, It makes you stronger, but
also
exhausted. These fancy tools does not help you avoid anemiaaunemia, blood pressure diseasesdeseases, or obesity at all.
However
, if sport
facilities
do nothing with our
health
what does the most impact on our lives? I trulytruely believe that it is a feeding pattern. It is pretty obviousobviously that eating fruit and vegetables is much more profitable for your body than eating junk food.
For example
, when you are eating 200 gramshramms of apples you receivereceives nearly 10 kilocalories and plentyplanty of nutrients and zero of harmful fats.
Otherwise
, eating a portion of French fries gives you nearly 300 kilocalories, almost 100% fats and an opportunity to have a heart disease. And it is awesome, because you can choose and become healthier just by eating.
People
, who eat only vegetables, are much lesser diagnosed with cancer and diabet of the
second
type. So, in my humble opinion, we do not need a lot of sport
facilities
.
People
just need to eat more healthy food. As you colud see, I totaly disagree that
amount
of sport
facilities
could be a public
health
indicator of citizens? It is just impossible to take in account any equipment as measurement when we are talking about
health
. The only appropriate measurement that could be used here is
amount
of appointments to the doctors in hospitals. If it tends to be decreasing, the public
health
is improving.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
