Some people believe that the only purpose of films is to entertain. Others say films should have education values. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Movies play a massive role in the entertainment of human life. Few individuals believe that the ultimate purpose of cinema is to bring joy to viewers, whereas others think that a movie should create some moral values.
This
essay will discuss both sides of the argument with relevant examples. On the one hand,
people
argue that relaxation and entertainment have been always a part of human life throughout the years. In the older days,
people
had different entertainment platforms to kill their leisure time,
such
as plays, sports, etc. The plays evolved into movies after the invention of the video camera. Since a lot of
people
still consider films as an extension of plays, they demand bringing joy and fun is the motto.
In addition
, a human who worked hard longer time should be given some relaxation from the screen.
On the other hand
, the
people
who watch the movie tend to replicate the characters from them. Since they aim for only fun, they show some illogical and irrelevant content. Imagine a film depicts a drug addict as a hero, The young kids would be spoiled by thinking consuming illegal drugs is okay because it is shown in the movie. on contrary, we should present some valued contents that are much needed for society
such
as women empowerment and awareness on sexual abuse. Today the film industry has grown into a massive medium to take

thoughts and deliver them to a larger number of viewers. But we cannot keep on educating on the theatre. In my opinion, all cinema requires some fun elements
such
as action, comedy and love. But the story should revolve around an educative value which should tell the audience to understand the need for the value and make them abide by it.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
