A friend who lives in another country has invited you to come and stray with him/her on your next holiday. You are to busy to accept the invitation. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter, -Thank him/her for the invitation - Explain why you cannot come - - Ask him/her about other time to visit
Dear Joy,
Thank you so much for your invitation. It is really a really generous offer to put me up at your place in Tokyo. I would really like to come and it is kind of you but unfortunately, I will not be able to make it due to my work schedule.
Firstly
, I have just started a new teaching job and I have been working around the clock. It has been intense. I do not mean to complain, but I have been enjoying it immensely and the school I am working at is actually our old high school, which has been a lot of fun. Do you remember Mrs Brown? She is actually my supervisor.
Secondly
, could you let me know another time I can visit? Because of the school, holidays I will be free in the new year and I will also
be free in winter so if you are available then
, I would certainly love to escape the cold to visit you.
I can not wait to hear from you.
Your friend.
