Some people think the best way to solve the traffic congestions in cities is to provide free public transports for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Traffic congestions are a very common problem in big cities today together with the growth in the economy. The government is
also
implementing multiple initiatives to ease the situation.
First
of all, a lot of communities are still relying on public
transport
;
however
, the routes are not only limited to only most populated areas in the cities but
also
fewer frequencies of buses and trains during peak hours. Because of these limitations, communities still need to drive themselves and rely on taxis in order to reach their destinations on time. If there is free public
transport
available, many populations will start to stop driving but I think the authorities should
also
resolve the underlying issues by adding new routes and increasing the frequency of buses and trains. As the matter of fact, they're a lot of
people
who prefer to drive around in order to maintain their better lifestyle and privacy. Since the prices to buy cars are reasonably inexpensive, many families opted to buy cars for each of them usually. Even if there is free public
transport
offered by the authorities, I think they will most likely continue using their cars
instead
. The government should work together to educate those
people
with different programmes to reduce traffics congestion
instead
.
Moreover
, there is no exception for those
people
since they
also
suffer together in traffic congestion daily. I think that they're great benefits from free public
transport
for many
people
and a large amount of traffic could be reduced potentially. As much as the authorities can monitor and improve
further
to increase the free public
transport
, more
people
will be stopped driving on the road.
