You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

Although selecting international universities can give a short-term feeling of homesickness and disconnection from family and friends back there in their country it creates opportunities such as finanacial independence, greater employment opportunities and global exposure about the selected subjects.

It is commonly argued that, the majority of people tend to acquire more information about the history of their current accommodation, which they inhabbit.I strongly believe it relies on several personal reasons which may vary from one person to another, but in my point of view it can derive from the sense of safety they want to experience in the new place.

In this contemporary world, international games bare great value, this giving high importance to sports persons. A group of people advocate that these gaming teams and individuals have to be funded by the national authorities where as others think they should be sponsored by business groups and awarded scholarships. Although there are advantages to sponsorships, I believe the former method is better.
