this
letter to apply for a part-time volunteer job in the museum, that you have been mentioned in the newspaper yesterday. As a student, I usually spend my time playing video games in my spare time. and I find it not useful for me and not helping me to grow.

I understand that being a part-time voluntary worker involved a variety of tasks
such
as guiding tourists and I am pleased to let you know that I love guiding people and sharing my knowledge with others. I am good at graphic designing and I can use different kinds of design software. I believe, I can help you with some designing jobs like creating posters if you have an event. At the moment, I engage in some sports training but I can work on weekdays from Monday to Wednesday except at weekends since I need to help my parents with their business. Looking forward to hearing a favourable response from you. Yours Sincerely, John Doe

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
