Many museum and historical sites are mainly visited by tourist rather than local people. Why is this? What can be done to encourage local people to visit museums and historical sites?

Among all the
people

 every day, the majority are travellers who come from other places, and only a few are local
people

This
 essay will discuss the likely cause of the phenomenon and possible solutions to the issue.
Firstly
, I believe, is that the local
people
 are already quite familiar with the history of the place they live, some of them may have even borne there, and they have learned the story in other ways,

, the bedtime stories told by their parents or the books they read at school. Whereas everything is new to the traveller, museums and historic

 become their best way of learning the culture.

 compared to those tourists. The main goal of most sightseers is to visit and explore, and they have plenty of
