Some construction work is being done on the street where you live for the last couple of days. The noise from the work is loud and it disturbs you. Dear Sir or Madam, I am one of the residents of Brighton village where the construction of new drainage takes place, I am writing to complain regarding excessive noise I have been experiencing during night time. It all started with the arrival of heavy machinery, that they are going to use to build the new drainage system in our village. We all know that
this
 project will be beneficial to all of the residents.
However
, for the past couple of ,weeks we experiencing unbearable noise during the night time which is making us unproductive during the day.
Furthermore
, the dust that the machinery producing unable us to breathe properly. As the solution to these ongoing problems. I request to expedite the project or continue the construction from 9 am to 6 pm. In order for us to make a proper rest at night. Thank you for giving the matter your attention and I hope to hear your reply soon. Yours faithfully, John Doe

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
