There will be a traditional celebration in your country and you want to invite your friend from an English-speaking country. Write him/her a letter and - invite your friend, - explain what happens at the party, - describe the tradition and why it’s important in your country, - say why it is important for your friend to be there.

Dear Mike, I hope
this
letter finds you in good health. I'm writing
this
letter to formally invite you to our annual celebration of the Carabao festival. There will be many exciting events during the festival. It will take place on May 14, ,2023 in Pulilan, Bulacan. There will be a Carabao parade along with their owner and a number of dancers wearing colourful costumes which signifies the village where they belong .
In addition
to that, you going to have a chance to taste local foods and during the evening there will be a musical performance by local farmers. The festival is really important to our country for the reasons that it's a way for the people for showing how blessed they were and for the abundant harvest of rice.
Furthermore
, to give tribute to our local patron which is St. Isidro Labrador.
However
, It's really important that you're at the festival because you made a promise to me
last
year that you will attend the
next
festivals and if you're not fulfilled the promise I will feel bad for you so you should be there. I am so excited to see you soon and looking forward to your response. Best regards, John Doe

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
