Choosing the right course for higher studies is an extremely crucial decision for young adults as it determines their careers and future. Some argue that the program of study should be selected by the child's
parents
 while others argue that youngsters should independently decide on their field of higher education. I strongly believe that kids should be given the freedom to select any course they desire to learn. On the one hand,
parents
 should not decide on what major their
children
 want to pursue since
children
 would have their own interests and passion. To illustrate
this
, studies done on dropped-out students revealed that nearly 50% of the dropped-out youngsters claimed that they were not interested in the subject and that they were forced to enrol because they were pressurised by their
parents
. From
this
 evidence, it is clear that
children
 should be given the complete freedom to opt for their favourite subjects.
On the other hand
,
parents
 can assess their offspring better and identify their strengths and weakness compared to others,
in addition
 to that, they will
also
 be able to select the courses best suited for their child.
For example
, if
children
 have good logical and analytical skills,
then
parents
 can enrol them on Engineering, and mathematics. etc.
Moreover
,
parents
 are more knowledgeable about the high-demand courses which can help their kids secure better jobs. To summarize, as
parents
 can better understand the strength of their child, they can identify the courses best suited for them.
However
, I believe that since kids have their own passion and areas of interest in learning, it is best that they can select their path of higher education as it plays a vital role in shaping their future.

    • Sentence 1 - Topic sentence
    • Sentence 2 - Example
    • Sentence 3 - Discussion
    • Sentence 4 - Conclusion
  • Paragraph 4 - Conclusion
    • Sentence 1 - Summary
    • Sentence 2 - Restatement of thesis
    • Sentence 3 - Prediction or recommendation
