To begin
with, my country
is one of those which provides many beautiful spots to go, not to mention various cultures and traditions to explore as a home citizen, thus
it attracts many tourists to visit. Therefore
, it is quite important for me as a local to know more about my own land and the treasures within it. For instance
, in Indonesia, we have 34 provinces and almost each of them brings its own culture including traditional language, meals, and even fashion which are all interesting to learn.
Other than that, travelling in our own place would cost us much less than going abroad for a vacation. Firstly
, oftentimes it is more expensive to book an international flight than the domestic one, not to mention the administrative stuff coming with it such
as a passport and visa. The living cost is also
rather costly regarding the currency difference, especially when you come from a developing country
to the developed one. As a comparison, my spending when I went to Singapore nearly doubled the amount of money from my visit to Jogja within an almost similar timeframe and range of activities.
