The company you work has decided to close the cafeteria, as the staff is not using it much. You are not happy with the decision. Write a letter to the director Give reason of low usage How will it affect the staff Suggest ways to improve it
Dear Sir,
I am Fidan Durrani, medical officer of the dermatology department situated on the ground floor of our company 'The Healing Hands. I am writing
this
letter regarding the closure of the community's cafeteria decided earlier this
week. The notice sent by you stated that due to the low usage of the same by staff, the company agreed on closing the cafe.
Although
the usage of the cafeteria has been quite low by the entire staff lately it was only due to some justifiable reasons. Firstly
, the quality of food served there was objectionable ,especially the deli items. The consumption of the same led to severe food poisoning and my colleagues were admitted to the hospital wing for 3 days. Secondly
, the ventilation of the cafe is one of the biggest issues we had despite the space in which the same has been built. Thirdly
, the timings of lunch recess are variable for different departments that result in disturbed distribution of workers.
If the cafeteria is closed then
the working staff will move out for lunch and this
will result in delaying emergency medical procedures and OPDs.We can improve the conditions of the cafe by making a few adjustments like changing the caterers, renovating the place and instilling it with air ducts and lastly
by fixing a single lunchtime for every department in the company.
Yours faithfully,
Fidan DurraniSubmitted by shozab.ansari on
