Some countries allow old people to work to any stage that they want. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages

Some nations do not restrict their citizens from working on the basis of their
age
. It helps seniors to be self-dependent, utilise their time and to stay fit. Another side, they can not be benefited from the pension programs and free medical given by the government.
This
will force them to earn money irrespective of their health. As we know most of the new generation does not spend much time with their elders and is not ready to take care of them in their old
age
. When all the seniors can continue their professions till they want. They will not need to be dependent on their children for monetary and care purposes. With the continued income, they can take care of themselves and can plan to travel to the places which were always on the checklist. It will
also
help them to stay active, pass the time, meet
people
and communicate daily.
On the other hand
, the government will not give them the benefits of senior citizens like pensions, free medical etc. No matter what old citizens will be bounded to
work
even if their health does not allow it. As we know, the chance of medical emergency increases at a later
age
. The stress of
work
can be another reason for
such
emergencies. I think, at the
age
where one should need to stop rushing for livelihood and should spend life in peace, we can not make
such
rules to burden
people
who are not able to
work
. If the government will continue to support old
people
with pensions and free medical irrespective of their decision to choose to
work
or not. It will support
people
to pick their needs between job and rest.
