Since this will give protection to the person who was being alleged of the offence. Nowadays, it is believed that this practice should be altered and that the board of judges should be given all the previous facts before they reach their verdict about the court case. I personally believe that it should be abolished to verify if the person is a repeat offender ensuring that the jury wouldn’t be biased of their decision, and it might help with investigation as well.
