Many doctor recommended that older people exercise regularly but most patients do not follow on exercise routine .Why do you think this happens and how can people encouraged to exercise regularly.
It is advised by many doctors that to live a healthy life, senior citizens should exercise on a daily basis.
However
, it is observed that most older people
can not maintain this
routine. In this
essay, I will discuss the reasons behind this
behaviour and will provide some solutions so that they can be motivated to live a good life.
There are various reasons for the aged people
not doing exercise. To begin
with, a majority of them are living separately from their children
. Their children
are living far away from them either for their education or a job. Hence
, older people
have to do household chores by themselves and they can not focus on their health. Secondly
, in their earlier days, they lived a sedentary lifestyle, which was the major reason behind heart problems, diabetes and obesity, many of them are suffering from these chronic diseases hence
they can not do any physical activities
. Thirdly
, as they are aging, they will be more protective of themselves. For instance
, while doing exercise if any mishappen occurs it takes a longer time to get cured especially in older people
. Therefore
, they keep away themselves from doing physical activities
.
On the other hand
, there are several ways to promote healthy activities
. The children
of elderly people
should guide them about the basic exercises to keep them physically active. For example
, if the children
are living away from their parents, they should help them by using tech gadgets or providing YouTube videos of exercises. The Government should build gardens and health centres predominantly for the elder people
where they can focus on health and socialise with others.
To conclude, I strongly believe that with a little push from family members and basic amenities from the government we can motivate our older people
to inculcate physical activities
into their routines.Submitted by himalibhavsar7 on
