✨ Do you want to improve your IELTS writing?
Dear Utsav, I hope you are doing well. I am writing
this
letter to inform you about the good news that I recently moved to my brand new home. The geographical location of the house is in front of a lake, and the lake is very attractive as well as beautiful. Apart from that, there are various amenities available in the home
such
as a modular kitchen, lake view balcony and an exotic garden in the backyard as well.
Furthermore
, there are various things which are very enjoyable in the neighbourhood. In my neighbourhood, there is an amusement park and a beach as well at walking distance.
In addition
, there is
also
a library adjacent to my house and it does not charge any fees to borrow any number of books but
this
facility is only given to people living nearby. I would be pleased if you join me
next
weekend. You can explore my new home, and we will
also
have quality time together. Best regards! Shah Harshil

Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
  • for example
  • for instance
  • therefore
  • however
  • although
  • even though
  • despite
