The bar chart depicts the statistics of crime occurrences reported to police in Johnstown city quarterly in the year 2016
while
the graph represents the average temperature each month in the same year in Celcius degrees. As an overall
trend, it can be seen that traffic violations became the largest amount in police reports
sum compared to noise complaints and theft reports
. That year, the average temperature fluctuated from the beginning of 2016.
During the first quarter, the statistic of traffic transgressions hits a peak at around 180 reports
and declined moderately until September before it climbed a bit. The second largest report figure was theft occurrences which started in January with around 20 reports
and increased rapidly. It peaked during the third quarter at about seven times the initial figure and fell between October and December. Whereas
the reports
in noise complaints saw almost stable with a little rise in the second quarter.
It is interesting to observe that the highest sum of theft reports
is mostly affected by the warmest season, which was at 24 Celcius degrees. Another trend saw the coolest month correlated positively with traffic violation occurrences.Submitted by atikahap.yes on
