Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

With the advent of technology, there has been exponential growth in the rise of the
internet
. The
internet
has proven to be one of the basic requirements when setting up a computer, as it provides a
lot
of
information
. Some people may argue that too much
information
from the
internet
will create havoc,
while
some think of it as a good source of
information
and knowledge. From my perspective, I believe the
internet
indeed provides a
lot
of valuable
information
to a user mainly for two reasons, which I will illustrate below.
Firstly
, the
internet
, today is mainly used as a top academic resource for learning students to study, as it gets updated with all the latest developments.
For example
, during my
last
year in college, I was assigned to do a thesis wherein it required a
lot
of
information
and content. Even after going through a
lot
of relevant books in the library, I found it very hard to come up with some answers. My teacher,
then
introduced me to an
internet
library database wherein you can access anything with a click of a button.
In addition
to students, many professors use the
internet
as a source for their teaching and education purposes.
Secondly
, the
internet
also
keeps us updated about the latest news and trends happening in the world. With the slow decrease in newspapers, as a means of being eco-friendly, the
internet
came out as a successor which presented the news through all forms of digital devices. The availability of the
internet
mostly in all electronic devices has provided people with instant access to data and
information
.
On the contrary
, there exists a great deal of unsupported and inaccurate
information
causing many people to be deceived and cheated. Introducing certain file types,
such
as a read-only format, will prevent hackers to edit these texts. In conclusion, it is up to us to determine whether the
internet
is considered a boon or a bane. By filtering out incorrect and imprecise
information
, the
internet
can be a good value and reliable source of
information
for anyone.
