You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic. Many people use written language in a less formal and more relaxed way. Why? Does this development have advantages and disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words.

Nowadays
people
are writing in an informal way most of the time. There are so many reasons for
this
behaviour.
However
, it has two side effects positive and negative.
This
essay will investigate the causes of informal
language
in writing and its benefits and drawbacks of it. On
this
hand,
people
now seem to be more easygoing when they write or talk in a less formal way.
For example
, when you first meet someone that uses formal
language
, you will think that he is strict and does not like to talk to
people
.
Nevertheless
, no one can deny that social media has a significant impact on our lives and
as a result
of
this
impact it changed our written
language
to be less formal. It is equally important to recognise that it can be the school's responsibility sometimes because of the lack of teaching children the formal
language
they intend to make them use informal
language
instead
.
On the other hand
, there is no doubt that
this
development has both advantages and disadvantages. In ,life
people
face situations where they need to use formal
language
. A good example of
this
is writing to a company, ministry and the government so they will not be able to use relaxed and informal
language
. Despite, the disadvantages
this
change has many positive effects
such
as making it easy for
people
to understand.
Moreover
, communication between families will improve because old
people
will know how to communicate with their kids. In the conclusion, it is obvious that the advantages of the less formal written
language
have predominated over the disadvantages.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
