The road in front of your house got damaged a long ago and nothing has been done about it. Write a letter to the municipal authority complaining about the damaged road. In your letter: introduce yourself; explain the condition of the road; and suggest what they should do.
Dear Mister or Miss.
Writing to you to make a complaint.
Firstly
,my name is Andrew and I live on the west side of the city. For many years the road, which is located near my house was perfect, however
,some days ago there was an accident, which destroyed some part of it.I know that this
road hasn't been perfect before ,but people could use it.However
,now is too dilapidated for use. Moreover
,it is not only people's problem but yours too, because it is one of the main roads which connect us with other cities.I think that you are wise enough to understand that it must be repaired by hook or by crook.I am not a builder or a manual worker but I think concrete is enough.
Hope you got me right.Me
and my neighbours are waiting for your response.
Sincerely,AndrewChange the pronoun
I

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
