The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line graph illustrates how many tourists made
inquiries
in the Tourist Information Office in a specific city from January to June 2011. Overall
, there are three methods visitors can use to make queries, either in person, by letter/ email, or by telephone. However
, these channels are uncommon in the first month, showing fewer figures. Albeit, there is a dramatic change in the pattern as the in-person and by telephone grow significantly throughout the month, while
by letter/email shows the opposite.
In January, more than 800 people made their inquiries
by telephone which is the highest in that month and fluctuated for several months until April. Then
, it slowly went upwards, ending with 1600 inquiries
. Followed closely by writing a letter or thru email at under 800. The figure remained for the next two months, then
dropped to the lowest point in May and June at under 400 inquiries
.
On the other hand
, the personal approach at the beginning was the lowest number at above 400 inquiries
. But the number of tourist queries increased fifth folds, reaching the peak in June, and ended with less than 2000 inquiries
