You have not seen a close friend for a very long time. You also still have a few of your friend’s belongings that were left at your house the last time she visited. In your letter include: - Why you are writing - What you’ve been doing since you last spoke together - Apologize for still having the items and ask how you can return them

Dear Anju, I hope you and your family are doing well. It's been quite a time since we
last
meet.
Moreover
, as you know few of the things from your
last
visit are still here.
Furthermore
, I would like to apologize for it, as you are aware I am very much busy with my office work and home.
Firstly
, I have to do all the daily chores and
then
leave for work because my mother is ill.
Secondly
, I was recently promoted to senior manager so, I was busy getting things done.
Additionally
, about your belongings, I am happy to inform you that I will be visiting you next summer and will bring all your items
along with
you. I believe you won't be angry with me
this
time as will be spending a month with you. Take care of your family and yourself. Yours loving, Ranjan

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
