It is important for people to take risk, both in their personal and professional lives. Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?

The phenomenon of the positive and negative affect of taking
risks
in any situation has aroused wide concern among various circles. Divergent as people's views on
this
issue in question may be, I personally believe that the public should take
risks
because there are some of them are necessary and they will bring us some benefits that we can not overlook. Regarding the drawbacks of taking rise, the most obvious drawback is that it would make people lose everything they have which includes their
life
, money, friends and family. To explain, most people can enjoy their
life
if they do not push themselves to
risks
such
as gambling.
For instance
, a lot of folks from different fields want to get rich.
Hence
, they spend all their salary and saving on gambling.
However
, most of them only lose their money to those gambling companies. Some even cause their
life
because they borrow money from some places that are illegal.
As a result
, some think they should avoid
risks
and keep their
life
simple. Despite the aforementioned disadvantages, I still believe that some
risks
are necessary to take. The most significant reason is that we can gain some things that are amazing. To illustrate, you can imagine that you are in love with a female friend and you want to confess to her.
However
,
this
may jeopardize your current relationship.
This
is a risk that everyone should take to get their soulmate unless they want to give her to someone else.
Besides
, there are many other
risks
that we should take to enjoy or explore in our
life
. Under
this
line of thinking, it seems to me that
risks
would make us lose everything we have, but some
risks
would bring us some things that we should not miss in our short
life
.
Thus
, I believe that its advantages can outweigh its disadvantages.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
