We can see more disasters and violence shown on television. What are its causes and what effects will they exert on the individuals and the society.

In the
last
few years, the popularity of crime shows has increased by manyfold. Crowds are becoming more and more influenced towards it and are getting updated about the causes behind
this
. In
this
essay, I will explain the reasons behind the popularity of
such
shows and the effects it causes on individuals and communities. To commence with, there are several reasons which have led to an increase in disasters and violence shown on television.
Firstly
, being the increased interest of the public towards it. Nowadays, people want to stay updated. They want to remain aware and cautious about the incidents which are happening in society. Everyone feels that if they watch
such
shows, they will be able to provide any unfavourable circumstances in future.
Furthermore
, another reason behind the increased popularity of these shows is the increased crime rate in our society. Since the crime rate in our country has increased recently, the Government has issued several circulars in
this
regard and has asked the nation to remain vigilant about unforeseen conditions in our society. In spite of the fact that families are becoming vigilant, there are certain things which the public needs to take care of. When these shows are watched, folk develop a negative mindset. Even if things are going right,
nevertheless
they tend to think the other way around.
This
has led to negative psychology in our community as folk think of others as criminals. In my opinion, an effective balance needs to be maintained between the two.
While
the nation should be allowed and asked to remain updated regarding the ongoing happenings in our community, excessive telecasting of these shows should be banned. The broadcasters should be allowed to telecast
such
shows for two to three hours a week only.
This
will turn into an effective solution.
