demand of oil and gases are increasing , findings new sources in remote and untouched areas is necessity . Discuss advantages outweighs disadvantages.

With the increase in population, the demand for
oil
and
gases
is increasing thereby making it necessary to find new
sources
of
oil
and
gases
. Current resources of
oil
and
gases
are dwindling. Many
countries
are shifting their focus to renewable
energy
sources
like solar
energy
, hydrogen etc. Some of the advantages include using open spaces for the installation of solar panels and connecting these to the main grid. Solar
energy
harnesses the
energy
of the Sun and generates electricity.
This
does not harm the ozone layer and
also
helps in reducing pollution. Solar power does not deplete and continues to generate power as long as we receive sunlight. The recurring cost of solar installation is much lower than the cost of production of
oil
and
gases
. The main disadvantage of solar power is that it can be produced only in areas which receive adequate sunlight throughout the year. Infrastructure should
also
be in a place where solar panels are installed. The cost of installation of solar panels will be prohibitive if the infrastructure is not in place. Hydrogen is one of the new
sources
of
energy
and is considered to be the fuel of the next century. A lot of
countries
are conducting research in
this
field and some trials are already taking place in some of the advanced
countries
like the United States of America and some European
Countries
. The advantages of alternate
sources
of
energy
outweigh traditional
sources
like
oil
and gas.
Oil
and
gases
will continue to deplete and
countries
will have to turn towards alternate
sources
of
energy
.
