the chart below shows the percentage of adults of different age in the UK who used the Internet every day grom 2003-2006.
Presented for consideration is the given bar chart indicates the proportion of Britain's grown-ups of different
age
groups
who surfed the internet on a daily basis commencing the period of 4 years from 2003 to 2006. Units are measured in percentage
.
Looking from an overall
perspective, there are 5 old age
groups
involved in the report. It can be clearly observed that the over 65 groups
accounted for the lowest proportion at all times while
adults in the 16 to 24 group
tended to use the internet most. There is an approximate equivalence in the rate of the 25 to 44 and 45 to 54 groups
.
Turning to the details, 2003 to 2004 was the period when the 16 to 24 old age
group
remained the percentage
of 80 and there was a dramatical decrease in percentage
from 19% to no per cent for the over 65 group
. Change to a plural noun
groups
While
other groups
witnessed a slight increase with the same proportion of 10% for the 25 to 44 and 45 to 54 old age
groups
.
16 to 24 occupied the highest chunk in the year 2005 which outnumbered the over 65 group
by nearly 5 to 1. 25 to 44 and 45 to 54 showed a small difference of 5% while
the 55 to 64 grown-ups accounted for nearly 35% in the same year. At the end
of the period, it can be clearly seen that the older people are, the less they use the internet and this
phenomenon was reported by percentage
