The following graph illustrates the highest recorded temperatures, per month, for three different cities in Australia, in 2016.
Overall
, we can see that recordings remained relatively stable throughout the year in Darwin. On the other hand
, Melbourne and Perth saw much greater fluctuations, with the highest measurements made in January, and the lowest in July.
When analysing the results for Darwin, we can depict that this
was the hottest city on average. November had the highest measured temperature at 33.3 degrees Celsius
. In contrast
, July had the lowest recording, with 30.5 degrees Celsius
.
Meanwhile, in Melbourne and Perth, we can visualise from the data a much different picture. Both cities peaked in January at 25.8 and 28.1 Celsius
respectively. We then
see a gradual decline up until July, where both Melbourne and Perth have their lowest temperatures on record, at 13.4 and 18.8 Celsius
