It is commonly believed that educating
religion
should be applied in the
school
curriculum,
while
there are other opposite perceptions that it should be evaded. Both views of
this
controversy will be discussed but personally, I am of the belief that religious topics shouldn’t be included in
school
education, which will be more beneficial for teachers and
students
. On the one hand, religious education plays a role in teaching
students
to differentiate between right and wrong in their daily behaviour. In
religion
, prayers have to follow their beliefs’ norms and standards ranging from imposing constraints on themselves to negative behaviours
such
as being a burglar,... Mostly, the positivity of life is often the ultimate aim of all
religions
. In
school
,
this
will help
students
have a bright view of what activities they can do. Likely , it promotes a clear understanding of the benefits and consequences of each behaviour preventing
students
from society's vices.
On the other hand
, implementing
religion
in the
school
curriculum will result in conflicts among
students
. Each
religion
has its own views towards life with absolute loyal, and dissension between these
religions
is inevitable, sometimes it
also
leads to worse consequences
such
as fighting , … At
school
, not all
students
have the same beliefs, and most of them are following their parents’ beliefs.
As a result
, educating them will frustrate their parents who have different opinions and likely the effectiveness of teaching
religions
is likely diminished.
Consequently
, the investment in
religions
will be completely wasted. In conclusion, notwithstanding that teaching
religion
provides some benefits, the disadvantages outweigh those because of the ineffective it provides . Likely, religious education should only be applied in specific churches as it is the places gathering everyone who have the same beliefs
