The line graph below shows changes in the amount and type of fast food consumed by Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000.
The line chart illustrates the figure for the consumption of 3 different types of fast food eaten by Australian youth over a period of 25 years. It is clearly observed from the graph that, hamburgers accounted for the most popular fast food
at the end
of the period. In 1975, the number of times eaten per year for hamburgers was just over 10,
whereas
that of pizza was lower at just under 10, from
this
year until 1995, these figures saw an increase of approximately 90 and 70, respectively. These numbers remained roughly the same, between 1995 and 2000.
On the other hand
, the number of fish and chips eaten by Australian teenagers decreased slightly from 100 to nearly 85, from 1975 to 1980. In the next 5 ,years it rose by 10. From
this
year onwards, it saw a rapid decline from approximately 95 to just under 45.
Moreover
, in 1985
this
number fell below that of hamburgers and in 1990 the figure for pizza exceeded that for fish and chips.
