The table provides data about the spending of people on several goods in five countries, namely: Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey, in 2002.
Overall
, it can be seen that the amount of money which was spent on food, drinks and tobacco was the highest of all countries.
Further
leisure and education account for the lowest rate out of the five regions. Looking at the data set in more detail, it is evident that the ratio of national consumer expenditure on food, drink and tobacco was noticeably higher in Turkey, at almost 20%, and Ireland, at around 33%. The rate of consumption on leisure and education was
also
highest in Turkey, at 4.43%,
while
the proportion of spending on clothing and footwear was significantly higher in Italy, at 9% than in any of the other countries. Turning to the remaining data set in detail,

, in terms of food, drink, tobacco, and clothing, footwear, the amount of value in Sweden had the lowest percentage, at nearly 16%, and just over 5 %, respectively. Spain had slightly higher figures for these categories, there were 18.33% and 6.5%, respectively. In Spain, the chunk of national consumer cost on leisure and education has the lowest, at approximately 2%.
