You and your family are moving to another country for work, and you are looking to buy a house there. Write a letter to a property agent. In your letter: Introduce yourself and your family Describe the type of accommodation that you hope to find Give your preference for the location of the accommodation

Dear Mr. John, Hope
this
letter finds you in good health. I am writing
this
letter to inquire about a potential housing option for my family as we are planning to relocate to Toronto, Canada. As you are a well know property agent, having expertise in buying and selling houses in your area, you could find out the residence as per our requirements. First of all, allow me to introduce myself and my family in brief; my name is Kabir Hamal and I have a nuclear family of three members, me, my spouse and our daughter who is turning 7 years in next month. As we value peace and safety in our lives, our preference for new households must have an environment where society is bounded by law and order.
Likewise
, let me discuss the amenities and facilities that we are looking for.
Firstly
, the house must have 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and it must have a spacious storage area and car parking space.
Secondly
, as I mentioned, our child is still young, and a safe child-friendly neighbourhood is of utmost importance.
Furthermore
, in terms of location, we are interested in an area that has amenities of public transportation and shopping centres and elite schools in a nearby locality. Thank you for your time and assistance. If you require any
further
information, please do not hesitate to contact me at 9841447042. Looking forward to your support in
this
matter. Warm regards, Kabir Hamal

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
