Dear Sam, How are you? I heard you got into Oxford. That's amazing! I know how you must be feeling right now, overjoyed but anxious at the same time. One of the most stressful things about moving to university was getting proper accommodation. I have some tips for you so that you won't have the same issues I faced. I had no knowledge about real estate, as you could have guessed, so I took the easiest option which was to stay in the dorms. That was a big mistake. The dorm room was only big enough for one person and the toilets, kitchen, and laundry room were all shared. The lease was only for a year so I had to find another place to live
at the end
of the year which was really frustrating. The best way to save time and money is to find a friend you can share an apartment with and rent it out for the duration of your studies.
This
will solve the living situation from the start and you won't have to worry about it in the future. There are a lot of mistakes I made, like going for the easiest option which turned out to be the worst decision ever.
Also
, the admin will try to force you to get a room provided by the university and a lot of my classmates caved under the pressure and gave in. Be strong. Do not go for
this
option because after a year they will kick you out and you will have to start from scratch. I know you will achieve a great deal at Oxford and you can contact me whenever you need anything. Kind regards, Ibrahim

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
