Companies use advertising to make more sales. What can make an advertisement effective? Do you think that advertising is positive or negative for society?

The issue of advertising making profits has sparked heated controversy, with opponents maintaining that the aforementioned trend entails repercussions, whilst the supporters claim that it is beneficial for mankind. Personally, I support the former opinion even though the latter has some positive attributes. First and foremost, it is widely accepted that there are many factors contributing to making an advertisement attractive.
In particular
,
people
tend to be influenced by famous
people
or individuals who are privileged. To exemplify, models are role models for the vast majority of
people
and they have an impact on the decisions of
people
according to
the commodities that are included in the advertisement. Another essential factor that plays a vital role in the outcome of advertising is the way that entrepreneurs manage the thoughts and feelings of their audience. Admittedly, once advertising has a sentimental value in society, has
also
more profits.
For instance
, lots of pop-ups have slogans
according to
unconditional love, eros, and cute animals attracting more individuals.
Moreover
, it is often argued that advertising informs individuals about the latest trends. Indeed, through social media and other internet platforms, the population is aware of new products and their prices.
This
is clearly illustrated by the advertisements which are emerged every minute on Facebook, Twitter, or tik tok.
However
, it is claimed that from time to time advertisements cause illusionary needs. Admittedly, the crowd consumes goods that they are not really needed.
For instance
, novel clothes, and accessories that are in fashion attract the audience to purchase them regardless they are useless. Yet
this
is not entirely true since nowadays it is quite difficult to afford unnecessary products because of the economic crisis. All things considered,
although
the advertising market has lots to offer in society, namely awareness of new products and their cost, I firmly believe that faking needs that are created by advertisements cannot be negligible.
