It is clear that
in 1980, higher education was the largest proportion of Someland's budget (35%). This
figure increased in 1990 but decreased declined by 5% in the last
year. The percentage of spending on transportation also
decreased through a 20-year period, from just 25% in 1980 to more than 18% in 2000.
According to
the figures, spending on environmental services just made up the smallest minority of the total. It stood at 4% in 1980 and reached 9% in 2000. By applying contrast, spending on health and human resources increased from 14% in 1980 to 20% in 1990 which was a top and then
declined by 10% in the last
