expenditures on holidays & vocation and visiting friends or relatives witnessed an increase over the period shown,
while
there was a significant decline in money spent on business. In 1997, approximately $120 was spent on paying a visit to friends or relatives,
while
the figure was more than doubled in the outgoings of business, at $260, and the cost for holidaymakers was $190 every day. From
then
on, the expenditures in all categories showed an increase, in which holidaymakers and visitors for friends and relatives spent $270 and $220 in 2003, reaching the peak. With some fluctuations, the daily spending for businessmen peaked at $330 in 2004.
However
, the year 2005 saw a considerable decrease in the cost spent by businessmen, reducing by $150, after which it plummeted to $145 in 2015. The trend was almost the same for the rest of the purposes at the same time.
Although
the average spending from business people jumped to $260 a year later, it fell back to $200 in 2017 on a daily basis, which was outnumbered by the cost from people making holiday, at $240, but was higher than that of visiting travellers, at $140.
