The two maps illustrate a particular floor plan of a public library building  prior to and following developments within a time span of 2 decades ago and now. 
Overall
, there have been several extensive changes in terms of modernisation, new  additions and removal. One of the considerable changes in that building was modernization.  The Children's
books
on the northeast side corner of the map were demolished to  make way for the  Lecture
room
building  . Newspapers or magazine readers visited the reading
room
20 years ago which was laid on the map's southwest corner was  converted  into a  computer
room
  and
also
enquiry

desk ( tickets , book returns and others) made into a  cafe . Other striking changes were new additions and removal.  The CDs , videos and computer games were  demolished and now we can see storytelling events and sofas placed in

area and the children's fiction

were  redeveloped into  Adult fiction
books
and
also
an  information desk and totally three self-service machines  were placed near that  area. All reference
books
were  added between the  computer
room
and children's fiction
books
. The tables and chairs in  the middle of
this
map were  removed and
this
place is currently booming.
