The diagram which illustrates processes of life cycle of a specie of large fish named the salmon.
The diagram illustrates the
life
cycle of a species of large fish named the Salmon
. Overall
, there are three stages of life
that happen to the salmon
, starting from eggs
until they become adult salmon
.
The life
cycle starts from eggs
that lay under the reeds along with
the small stones in the upper river. In this
slow-moving current, the eggs
lay for a maximum of five to six months before they are born into fry with a measure of 3-8 cm long and immigrate to the lower river. In that fast-flowing water, the fry lives for approximately four years.
The second stage of life
starts with the fry transformed into a smolt which is 12-15 cm long and moves to the open sea. In the open sea, this
smolt will be turned into adult salmon
and live in there for approximately five years. Lastly
, the adult salmon
that can reach 70 - 76 cm long, will move to the upper river to lay their eggs
