7. You're working overseas in an international company. You are leaving the country in emergency. Write a letter to your friends explaining the situation. In the letter, you should - apologise for leaving like this - explain what happened - tell them what you're going to miss about working with them

Dear Friend, I hope
this
letter finds you in good health.
I’m
writing
this
letter to convey that I have to go to my native place to settle in India permanently on account of an emergency.
To begin
with, I feel disheartened that I have to inform my situation through a letter and my sincere apologies for the same. My grandmother had a stroke
last
night all of a sudden, and there is nobody in my village to take care of her.
I’m
the only person who can stay with her in
such
difficult circumstances. Since
I’m
leaving in a hurry, I don’t have sufficient time to catch up with you in person, and there is only one flight which leaves today evening when I tried to book tickets on the internet. Though
I’m
leaving abruptly, I would like you to know that it was an immense pleasure to work with you as I had an amazing experience in these past three years in Australia.
Furthermore
, I had great learning and gained knowledge to improve my skills which are helpful throughout my career. Let’s stay in touch, and I hope to meet you soon. Best Regards, John.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
