Dear John, I am writing
this
email to offer you an opportunity to attend the Taylor Swift concert.
This
is her first tour in Toronto. The show is on 18th October 2023 at Habour Square. My ticket is for the VIP section, where you can see her from a nearer distance. I bought

month with a group of my friends. Unfortunately, because my mom is sick, I have to return to Vietnam to take care of her. I really want to go but I can’t. I think that you should replace my position. My friends, Mary and An, will sit beside you. They are very friendly. As my flight is in the next few days, I can not come to give it to you in person. I will send the ticket to your house by Canada Post. Please let me know when you receive it. I hope that you enjoy the show, and I am looking forward to hearing about your experience. Sincerely, Huyen

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
