Are you familiar with any of Sault Ste. Marie’s recreational, cultural, or lifestyle and if so, please provide details.

In 2014 - 2015 I had one of the most amazing experiences in my life, I could study and work in Sault Ste. Marie, and that was when I fell in love with the Canadian culture and people. During my period in Sault Ste. Marie, I had the opportunity to live the routine of a small Canadian city, especially because I lived with a Canadian family

Introduction/Conclusion structure
To enhance the response, consider providing a clear introduction and conclusion. An effective introductory paragraph sets the context and mentions the main points to be discussed, while a strong conclusion summarizes the points made and restates your position or findings. This structure is essential for readers to understand the purpose of the essay and remember your key points.
Elaboration and support
Strengthen your main points with more elaborate support and development. For each of the activities or experiences mentioned, such as camping or fishing, elaborate with specific details that show your deeper engagement with the culture or activity. This could be done by describing specific events, your personal reflections on them, and their significance to you or your understanding of the culture. Additionally, directly address the prompt's request for details on recreational, cultural, or lifestyle aspects of Sault Ste. Marie by explicitly categorizing these experiences.
Logical flow and connectivity
To improve coherence and cohesion, work on the logical flow of ideas throughout the essay. Use a variety of linking words and phrases to connect sentences and paragraphs. Also, ensure that each paragraph contains one clear main idea supported by specific examples or explanations. This will help guide the reader through your argument or narrative in a structured manner.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
