Dear Mark, Sorry, for not being in touch with you for a long, as I was too busy with some of my personal matters. Recently, I had dinner with one of our family friends. Even though you have never met them you know him by their name Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. The dinner was held by the owner of their son’s graduation. It was quite an enjoyable evening. The whole menu including cake and other desserts was prepared by Mrs Jonson herself. And believe they were so delicious. You know that I do not like to attend family functions much. To my surprise, we were the only ones whom they had invited. Mr Johnson is a really very interesting person with a good sense of humour.
on the other hand
, Mrs. Johnson is a little bit shy. Their two children got the same genes from their parents. Ultimately, it was all good for a person like me and they were been very nice to us. During the whole feast night somehow I really missed you, so I would like to invite you and your family to have dinner with us. It will be really fun for us as we will get a chance to meet each other after a long time. Hope you will accept my invitation and will give us a chance to treat. Best regards, Jaimini

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
