The line graph shows the global demand for different textile fibers between 1980 and 2015
The line graph illustrates the international demand for four various fibres, Polyester, Cotton, Cellulose and Wool, for a period of 35 years from 1980 to 2015.
While
the X-axis depicts the year, the Y-axis shows the quantity in million
tons.
Overall
, what stands out from the graph is that the trend for attraction on fibres was enhancing, whereas
the exception was only Wool. Another interesting point is that after 2000, the demand for individual items was noticeable.
Looking at the details, with regard to Cotton, the starting demand was the highest at about 15 million
tons, which was three times of any other fibre. Until 1995, there was a gradual growth of demands to reach 20 million
in 1995. Then
it surged to 25 million
in 1999 before slipping back to 22 million
in 2002. Then
, again it enhanced gradually to pinnacled at 32 million
in 2015. On the other hand
, compared to Cotton, the rate of rise was higher in the case of Polyester which rocketed to 69 million
dollars in 2015.
In contrast
, the movement was slow in the case of the other two fibres. Although
Cellulosic primarily dropped from 4 million
in 1980 to 2 million
in 1998, then
it expanded to 10 million
in 2015. Conversely
, the reverse is true for Wool which slipped back after a small increase in 1998.Submitted by tanvir0507 on
