The line graph illustrates how many international tourists visited three tourist destinations in one European country for two decades, from 1987 to 2007. At a glance, all of the tourist destinations experienced an increase with the coast as the highest.
As can be seen, in 1987, the coast started at the highest level about 40
thousand
. It experienced a slight decrease to approximately 35 thousand
in the following five years before increasing moderately to reach a peak of 75 thousand
tourists toward the end of the period. Meanwhile, the mountains stood at the second position in the first year at 20 thousand
and rose slightly in one decade and remained steady until 2002 at 30 thousand
before having a slight increase of merely 5 thousand
in 2007.
Starting as the lowest number of tourists in 1987, visitors to the lakes grew significantly in 10 years to 3 times as many around 40 thousand
in 1997. Five years later, it rose dramatically more than threefold and peaked at around 75 thousand
in 2002. After that, the visitors' numbers dropped significantly to only 50 thousand
