The charts below show the chanages in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.
The line graphs below display the statistics of the
number
of residences with electronic appliances and the weekly average hours
of house duties, all ranging from 1920 to 2019. Overall
, there appeared to be an increase in the percentage of households owning electrical machines throughout the years, while
the opposite trend
was observed in the time spent doing housework.
Among three different electronic devices, the number
of refrigerator ownership increased dramatically, from slightly more than 0% in 1920 to the presence of a refrigerator in each house in 1980, which continued until 2019. A similar trend
was also
observed in the number
of houses with a vacuum cleaner. On the contrary
, there was only a slight rise in the percentage of houses with a washing machine, which showed a net difference of only slightly above 30% between the years 1920 and 2019.
Aside from that, the number
of hours
spent doing housework appeared to show a declining trend
over the years. The trend
started at 50 hours
of work in 1920 and descended decently to 20 hours
in 1960, which then
underwent a decrease with relatively smaller intervals until 2019.Submitted by avianitad on
