Task Achievement
For task achievement, ensure to address all parts of the task directly and provide clear explanations for each. Although you have mostly done this, adding more detail about why the meeting was important to you personally could enhance your response.
Coherence and Cohesion
To improve coherence and cohesion, try to connect your ideas more smoothly. You can achieve this by using a wider range of linking words and phrases, not just at the beginning of sentences but also within them, to make the progression of ideas clearer.
Greeting and Closing
Regarding greeting and closing, you have used a suitable format, but try to match the tone of your sign-off more closely with the tone of your letter. For example, consider using 'Best wishes' or 'Kind regards' instead of 'Yours truly,' to keep the tone consistently friendly.
The Closing
The style of the letter determine how you have to close it.
Check out the suggested closing sentences for each type of letter in the General IELTS Test. The closing sentence should be the last sentence of your letter.
Formal style (To someone you have not met, whose name you don’t know)
- Yours faithfully,
