The bar chart shows the number of male and female people arrested by type of offence (crime). Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features.
The bar chart compares the percentage of those arrested
due to
various crimes based on their gender between 2008 and 2009.
It is clear that
the vast majority of people were arrested because of their violent actions against others, whereas
robbery, fraud and forgery had the lowest amount. Also
, it seems that the proportion of men and women was roughly the same, in general.
Having been arrested as a result
of theft and handling stolen goods was more prevalent among women than men at just over 30% and 20%, in turn, making this
slightly less than violence against society members, more than 30% for both genders. Other offences had far less value, and robbery and fraud were at the bottom of the list with slight amounts.
In other crimes, males were leading females with a considerable amount. Combined with criminal damage, burglary made up an equivalent proportion to other offences in total, standing at 7% and 3% for males and females, respectively. Lastly
, the percentage of men who were arrested as a consequence
of drug offences was identical to burglary; nevertheless
, women accounted for a markedly higher value at approximately 5%.Submitted by TUTOO on
