the diagram below show the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
The map illustrates what changes have been made in the Central
Library
over the last
2 decades.
Overall
, although
the main entrance is still in the same spot as it was before, the main corridor of the floor has become more specious as well as
an increase in adult facilities.
It can be seen that in the past the children's books
section
used to be on the northeast of the library
but it has been relocated to the opposite west side with a space where the storytelling event with two L-shaped sofas, is conducted today. Also
, the electronic section
in the northwest of the library
has been gone to in front of the room and it has been changed to the computer section
.
Furthermore
, The lecture book part is the newest part of this
floor which has been replaced by the Children's books
section
and it is faced with the cafe where it used to be the Enquiry desk which has been changed to its north between adult fiction books
and self-service machines. Also
, the door is constructed for the cafe which is just right of the entrance door. By packing up the tables and chairs in the middle section
of the library
, there is more space in the main corridor and all reference books
are the newest section
which has been built over this
period.Submitted by ramtin.n1374 on
