The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart compares and contrasts the data on how often the USA citizens consumed fast food in restaurants over a 10-year period from 2003 and 2013.
Overall
, it can be seen that the majority of the USA citizens consume fast food at least once a week and once or twice a month. Only a small part of the citizens eat it every day or never eat it at all.
In 2003, it is noticeable that around 4% of people consumed fast food every day. However
, from 2006 to 2013 the proportion decreased by 1%. But, it got more interesting as the percentage of people who ate at such
restaurants once a week increased dramatically, accounting for 33%, the same proportion applied in 2013 with the public who ate once or twice a month.
Then
its popularity plummeted again when it came to a few times a year. From 2006-2013, the percentage of the public was the same at 15%. Another interesting point from the figure is the public who never ate fast cuisine. There was 5% in 2003 but the proportion went down to 4% in 2006 and 2013. This
shows that since 2006 more people have been able to eat fast cuisine at least once.Submitted by buyabuya201 on
